Just purchased your new DSLR and don’t know how to use it! Get off auto and take control of your camera! Not sure what all these controls do! We can show how to control your camera and get beautiful images.
Our Exclusive Get to know your DSLR photography courses are held at the stunning Ripley Castle and are designed to offer an introduction to photography and camera training to anyone who wants to get to grips with their Digital SLR.
Learn in a relaxed and enjoyable way how to take control of your camera and get it off program mode and onto Manual to capture better photographs. The course includes a mixture of classroom and outdoor practical exercises around the grounds of Ripley Castle. The beautiful historic, lakeside location and gardens will inspire many excellent photographic opportunities.
Tuition comes from professional photographer Pete Bristo MBE FRPS a local wedding and Portrait photographer with over 30 years experience in Photography.
The day begins with introductions and morning tea/coffee at the Boar’s Head.
Our photographer will present an informal tutorial on getting the best out of your digital SLR or bridge camera together with an information pack. Plus lots of practical hands on demonstrations inside and out to help understand who the controls of your camera works.
A light Lunch will be served at The Boar’s Head.
During the afternoon you will be out and about around the grounds of Ripley Castle and its Gardens where you can use your newly learnt skills learnt from the morning session. Feel free to capture photographs in the grounds while our photographer will work his way round the group helping individuals if required. There will be plenty of opportunity to chat to our photographer and get advice on what has been taught in the morning session. This is a great chance to put what you have been taught into practice.
Question and Answer Session
Finally the group gets back together in the Boars Head where you can discuss your ideas, share your photographs and ask any last remaining questions you might have.
